Chicago Baby!!

This little Kelley family just got back from their first family vacation. Brennan is now an experienced traveler. She rode in a car for twelve hours, (where she discovered her hands and let me tell you she was amazed!) rode on a train, (loud but she can still sleep on it, so she's okay with it) and discovered the many social benefits of a crowded rush hour bus. We went to museums galore and had a blast! It was really amazing how much she changed in a week just by noticing other people and things. We also had a mini photo session with mommy because well... I felt like it! So you get to see the results of that as well!! Next up... Bren's taking the world by air!

Well almost two months have passed since our last post.  My little family has been pretty busy!!  We had Brennan's dedication, then Mother's day, Travis and I's 3 year anniversary along with lots and lots of wonderful moments in between!  I know most new mom's feel this way, but I just keep being amazed at how much God has blessed us!  Every one of Brennan's little smiles makes my heart smile (yeah I just said that, nerdy I know...).  She's done several sounds that were probably intended as a laugh but the other day she truly did full out laugh and she just froze and looked around like 'who did that?'  She's decided finally that she DOES like Alle.  She wasn't really sure about her for a while, but upon closer examination (and by closer examination I mean literally Alle keeps getting in her face) it's been decided.  So now I leave you with a bunch of Brenny pictures and a few others!!

Brenny's First Month

This first month with our little girl has just flown by!  It's been amazing.  Travis and I still can't believe that we have this beautiful baby girl, who is so sweet and cuddly.  Her cry breaks our hearts everytime especially when her little chin quivers!  All the little sounds she makes that give us a glimpse of who she will be, if it's slurping away on her pacifier (just ask anyone at church... she's pretty loud with it), or her little snorts while she's sleeping, just endear her to us even more.

She's already changed so much.  She's started smirking at us (takes after her dad there), she held her bottle herself the other day, and occasionally she will sleep through the night!  She's already over ten pounds and 21 inches long... so we've had to put away her newborn clothes, and well we should give up on the newborn diapers, but we bought a box too many... so we're still trying to make her wear those, but I think tonight will finish them out =). 

We've had a lot of people ask us how the other member of our family, our 'dog' Alle, is dealing with her.... And well...

She's fine.  =)

When I See Your Face...

I'm a momma!!! If you haven't been informed yet by Facebook, Travis and I became parents of our beautiful baby Brennan Tuesday Night at 10:31.  She's 8 lbs 7.1 oz and 20 inches long.  We're at home and I'm having so much fun dressing her and kissing on her.  She spent all morning being held by her daddy and all afternoon being held by her Nana (my mom).  Tomorrow brings Grandma (Travis's mom), Aunt Kristen and Uncle Justin to love on her.  We're so in love with her and can't believe how amazing and loving God is to give us this little blessing!!

Ready When You Are!!

Today has been very productive!  I had my first every week doctor appointment today.  After lunch with friends, I drug Travis on to Joplin to finish picking things up for Brennan.  As if an afternoon of shopping wasn't enough, I got him to put the glider chair together and help me get the room all in place.  And NOW... we're all ready for her!  Can't wait!!
